Edmonton’s own Nick Tam has written a response to my response to what he calls “the place of fanfiction in the literary economy”. Well worth reading, not least because it brings up the point that somehow glided away from my memory without touching the narrative: fanfiction would not exist if it weren’t for capitalism.
